Private is what this bird thought he was but with a telephoto he lost his privacy for a second.
The upside for him is he’s now been blogged so surely that’s something he can “crow” about to the others.
The tin roof is pretty tarnished and rusted but a quickie shot from quite a distance left him skittish and he flew away seconds later.

I wonder how far were you from him, great shot with the sombre colours which go with the sombre unwarranted (in my opinion, a fan) reputation of the masterful crow…

Lynn….that was full 200 mm telephoto so I was a fair distance and I COMPLETELY agree with you….I really like Crows and they are not only maligned but hunted….in the U.S. but not much here.
Probably, as usual because they are both smart AND wary!
